My name is Bibi and I used to live in the Makoko Slum in Lagos, Nigeria. After primary school, I stopped going to school because my parents did not have the money to send me to secondary school. This made me sad because all my brothers are school drop outs. I was scared I will also be a drop out like them.
Then, I heard about a dance class by Aunty Seyi; (the founder of The Dream Catchers) and I started attending. Aunty Seyi heard my story and decided to help me. She let me start living with her in the Dream Catchers Villa and then I became a member of The Dream Catchers Academy. I was enrolled in school and I was able return to school like my mates.
Sometimes, my English is scattered but I try to learn and read better.
I want to be the first person to finish school in my family. I want to be the first graduate in my family. When I grow up, I want to help people like Aunty Seyi. I also want to be a hairdresser and make-up artist.
Please Support me anyhow you can.
